A Message from Marnie

As we celebrate our 10th year of publication, I’d like to take the opportunity to congratulate all of those businesses in the North Hills community and surrounding areas who have successfully kept their doors open over what has, at times, been a volatile decade. Despite tough economic times, these companies have remained committed to the North Hills’ area and to supporting the communities in which they live, and this is truly an impressive accomplishment.

I would also like to thank our readers, not only for picking up our magazine each month, but for offering story suggestions and ideas about the people and places that make the North Hills great. Even after 10 years, I am surprised to see how much talent and dedication can be found among North Hills’ residents, and I am heartened by the fact that so many of our readers want to tell us about the wonderful things that their neighbors are doing!

Being the publisher of a magazine has many benefits, but perhaps the one that I treasure most is the ability to be able to connect people with the causes or issues that matter most to them, so that they can strengthen our community through their actions. Readers often tell us about how our stories have affected their lives, whether by providing information on a new medical procedure available locally; by encouraging them to volunteer or donate to community nonprofits; or by letting them know about an activity that their children or grandchildren might enjoy. The North Hills is a wonderful place, and we are glad to be a part of it and to promote everything that it has to offer.

As the North Hills continues to grow, we will continue to grow along with it, working hard to meet our advertisers’ and our readers’ expectations. Here’s to our 10th anniversary and many more years to come.
