A Victorian Tea

Hope Grows announces its third annual A Victorian Tea and its first annual Tee Time Golf Classic, presented by UPMC for Life, to take place on Sunday, May 22, 2016, at The Club at Shadow Lakes in Aliquippa, PA. Funds raised from both events will enable Hope Grows - a non-profit organization focused on caregiver support - to continue providing support services and educational training to help family caregivers in the Greater Pittsburgh region. "Most people know at least one person, if not themselves, who is a caregiver for an ailing or disabled loved one," said Hope Grows founder and executive director, Lisa Story. "The challenges faced by caregivers, from the emotional and psychological to the physical and financial, need to be met with more individualized support. At Hope Grows, we're working to provide that support, and we're excited to offer A Victorian Tea and the Tee Time Golf Classic as fun ways for the entire community to join us in the effort." A Victorian Tea is an afternoon tea party complete with hors d'oeuvres, fellowship and auction bidding. This year's theme is "The Emotional Journey of Caregiving." Guest speakers, including Maine-based author and caregiver, Amy Madge, will provide valuable information regarding caregiving. The Tea will also feature the artistic flavor of award-winning Pittsburgh artist, Joyce Werwie Perry; and rhythmically inspiring hand drumming with accomplished percussionist, Bryan Fazio. The event will be held from 1:30-3:30 p.m. in The Club at Shadow Lakes Grand Ballroom. Tickets are $40 for the tea and $60 with optional dinner with the golfers.
