CBS RADIO PITTSBURGH CELEBRATES THE HOLIDAYS WITH THE 2015 DUQUESNE LIGHT SANTA SPECTACULAR
CBS RADIO Pittsburgh and Duquesne Light announce the 17th Annual Santa Spectacular driven by Rohrich Automotive Group at Point State Park, Friday, Nov. 20. Festivities kick off at 5:00 PM with the opening of the Wyndham Grand Winter Wonderland booths and local dance and music groups performing holiday features on the main stage. New exciting highlights this year include a laser light display, live reindeer, a carousel in the park where guests can ride for free, visits with Santa at Santa’s Workshop custom built by Empire Roofing & More and an area where families can get holiday photos taken thanks to Madison Remodeling Services. In addition the Warm-up Tent is back again this year where guests can grab a hot beverage and a treat. The Café at the Point and additional food vendors will be open for guests to purchase food and beverages. Following the stage performances guests will be welcomed through a holiday display within the Portal Tunnel for an enhanced “choreographed pyro-musical" show at 8:30PM with a finale featuring a special lighting of the Duquesne Light 80-foot tall Tree of Lights with a 360° close proximity fireworks display. “This year’s Santa Spectacular features a great mix of new activities and favorite holiday traditions,” said Jessica Rock, Director of Communications at Duquesne Light. “From live reindeer and an exciting twist on the popular lighting of Duquesne Light’s 80 foot tall Tree of Lights, to a special appearance by Santa, this year’s event is shaping up to be a great way for families to kick off the holiday season.” Since 1998, the Santa Spectacular show has become a holiday tradition for families in Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas. This year the show is produced by Peony Entertainment and Presented by CBS RADIO Pittsburgh, Duquesne Light, Rohrich Automotive Group, Wyndham Grand Downtown Pittsburgh, and others sponsors.
