Night Before Christmas

Thurs., Dec. 3, 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 pm. General Admission rates apply

This evening includes a holiday movie in the Helen M. Schmidt FliteZoneTM Theater, popcorn, story time with Mrs. Claus and the penguins, make and take ornaments to hang outside to feed wild birds.

Holiday Shopping Day, Thurs., Dec. 3, 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Admission not required. Tell us you’re here for Holiday Shopping Day and enjoy a 10% discount in the Gift Shop and Garden Shop (20% for members). .The Holiday Shopping discount does not apply to gift certificates of any kind (including gift certificates for general admission, camps, and special encounters or experiences, or other).

Brunch with Santa… and a Holiday Bird Show!

Sun., Dec. 13

Two seatings: 9am. and 11:30 am. $40 per person includes general admission, brunch, a bird appearance, a craft kit for kids, tickets to the Wings in Winter Holiday Show, and photos in the theater with Santa and a Penguin.

Fleury’s KIDS ONLY Night Out

Sat., Dec. 19, 5 p.m. – 9pm.

Ages K – Grade 2 and Grades 3-5

$50 per child (additional $5 for dinner)

Fleury, the Snowy Owl is hosting a very special KIDS ONLY night at the National Aviary! Mom and Dad can finish their shopping while their kids discover a different side of the National Aviary. There will be stories, bat feedings, crafts to take home, a scavenger hunt, flashlight hike and opportunities to meet a penguin up close!

Help prepare breakfast for the National Aviary’s colony of penguins, attend a private feeding, and learn what makes these endangered birds so special. Camp includes a close-up encounter and an original masterpiece painted by one of our penguins.
