Ladies Day Out to benefit Education Assistance fund
The Lydia Circle of St. Paul’s United Methodist Women presents its second annual Ladies Day Out, 1-4:00 pm, Saturday, November 7 in St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 1965 Ferguson Road, McCandless. Admission to the event is free. Attendees will have opportunities to make donations and bid on silent auction items. All proceeds will benefit North Hills Community Outreach’s Education Assistance program. Nina Belcastro, event coordinator, said, “The Education Assistance program is a great program that helps relieve the stresses nontraditional students face when making the transition into further education. The members of the Lydia Circle believe that the decision to continue one’s education is both exceptional and brave, and we are proud that our Ladies Day Out event will benefit an organization that makes this decision a little easier.” Events include: · A dance performance by the Steel City Angels · Personal Defense and Prevention with Officer Jim Maier · Zumba with Kerri Colangelo · Recovering Minds Therapy discussing “Addiction and Recovery” · Pound Cardio with Karen Palmeri · Dr. Michele Reiss discussing “Coping with Loss and Grief” · Reading and discussion by children’s author Leslie Moore The event will also feature free mini manicures given by students from A. W. Beattie Career Center, health and wellness information from St. Paul’s Wellness Ministry, a variety of vendors and networking opportunities, and free light refreshments. Attendees are encouraged to dress comfortably, as events will be interactive. For more information on Ladies Day Out, please contact Nina Belcastro at firstname.lastname@example.org.
