Old Economy Village Change in Hours and Days of Operation
Beginning September 13, 2015 Old Economy Village is changing its hours and days of operation. Old Economy Village, including the Village Rose Museum Store, will be open April through December on Wednesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and every Sunday from Noon until 5 p.m. The historic site and visitor center will be closed on Mondays, Tuesdays and major holidays. New tour times begin at 10:30, noon, 1:30 and 3:00, Wednesday through Saturday and 12:30, 2:00 and 3:00 on Sunday.
Old Economy Village is a historic site of the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission. Old Economy Village preserves and presents the life, thought, and material culture of the Harmony Society, a highly successful and entrepreneurial 19th century religious community. Old Economy Village is administered by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission and is actively supported by the Friends of Old Economy Village which is a non-profit community-based organization. Old Economy Village was the heart of the Harmony Society’s home from 1824 until the commune was dissolved in 1905.
