The first of three free concerts in the Rotary Gazebo on the front lawn of the Cranberry Township Municipal Center will begin at noon Friday, July 31.

July 31. Dixieband. A smaller ensemble of members from the North Suburban Symphonic Band, the musicians in Dixieband, specialize in Dixieland classics.

August 7. Henry Doktorski. Accordionist, composer, conductor and educator Henry Doktorski sometimes plays tunes from the 1920, but his preferences lean toward more contemporary songs from performers including the Beatles, Santana, and Black Sabbath.

August 14. Kardaz Brothers. For more than 30 years, Chris and Bob Kardasz, together with two fellow musicians, have kept alive songs from the 1960s, as well as other popular varieties of music.

The historic Sample One-Room Schoolhouse next to the Gazebo will be open for visitors during each of the three lunchtime concerts. Friends of the Cranberry Library will also hold its Hot Dog Fridays benefit during each concert. For $3, guests can buy a grilled hot dog, chips and bottled water.
