The Longest Standing Kids Race in the Greater Pittsburgh Area
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Pittsburgh is hosting its 15th Annual Kids Triathlon Series! This Series is the longest-standing kids’ race in the Pittsburgh area, and consists of two events: the first race, which will be held on July 18th at the South Park Wave Pool, is expected to host over 225 young athletes ages 7-12. The second race will be held on August 15th at the North Park Swimming Pool, and over 450 young athletes ages 7-15 are expected to participate. The young athletes will swim, bike, and run to the finish line to raise money for the affordable housing programs of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Pittsburgh. Athletes of all abilities are encouraged to participate. Each participant will receive a goodie bag and a finishers medal, and will qualify to win trophies and other prizes. Athletes can register for the triathlon online through Habitat’s website www.kidstriathlon.org for a basic registration fee of $30, or on site on race day for $40.
