Watch your child’s language

Kids can quickly pick up the basics of spoken language – any language. So this summer, Cranberry’s Parks & Recreation Department will offer week-long camps in French, Spanish and Chinese for ages 6 through 12. Over five sessions, Campers will be introduced to their chosen language using an imaginary trip to celebrate the holidays, taste the local cuisine, and learn more about the nation’s culture.

Highly qualified instructors, who are expert in their respective languages, employ a fun-based curriculum using a child-centered teaching philosophy developed by Lingua Stars of Ellwood City, which supervises the program’s language coaches. Camps include:

· French. July 20-24, 10:30 to 12:30.

· Spanish. July 27-31, 10:30 to 1:30.

· Chinese. August 3-7. 10:30-1:30.

For French Summer Camp, Cranberry residents pay $95 per section; $105 for non-residents. Spanish and Chinese Camps are each $120 for residents, $130 for non-residents. Online registration is available at either, by phone at 724-779-4FUN (4386), or in person at the Parks & Recreation Customer Service Desk in the Cranberry Township Municipal Center. Fees are payable at the time of registration.
