“Pups for our Patriots – Fashion Fur a Cause”
benefits The K-9 Six Project
Fashion joins forces with dogs for The K-9 Six Project’s “Pups for our Patriots - Fashion Fur a Cause” on June 7, 2015 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Zelienople Community Park Amphitheatre.
Guests will be treated to a family-friendly fashion show featuring fashions from Eye Kandy boutique along with entertainment, vendors, food, a Chinese auction and raffle. Local “real” models will be escorted by various adoptable shelter dogs from the Butler County Humane Society. Families are encouraged to attend as well as bring your family dog!
There will be a special guest appearance by Miss Pennsylvania USA 2105 Elizabeth Cardillo for The K-9 Six Project’s inaugural event. KDKA’s Christine D’Antonio will serve as fashion show master of ceremonies. All proceeds benefit The K-9 Six Project.
The K-9 Six Project is a new non-profit that matches shelter dogs with veterans. Service dogs can provide emotional support to veterans, but can be costly. The K-9 Six Project provides dogs to our veterans at no cost. These dogs can ease anxiety, help reduce stress and most importantly, offer companionship, providing a better quality of life for those who have served our country.
Why is it called “The K-9 Six Project?” There is a term in the military “got your six” which means the guys who have your back – that is what these dogs will do for our veterans - they will have their backs, hence the name.
Limited VIP tickets are $30 which will include a reserved seat and swag bag. Lawn seasts are $15; children 19 and other are $8. Veterans are free.
The K-9 Six Project looks forward to helping many of our veterans in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. We hope that you will consider joining us for our kick- off event.Visit Event Website for More Info
