Description:

The human brain is the single greatest miracle ever designed in the history of the universe. Weighing three pounds, comprised of 60 percent fat, and demanding 25 percent of the blood from every heartbeat, our brains are the origin of our every thought, emotion, and movement.

Dr. Nussbaum will teach about the basics of the brain, how the brain operates, and how to shape your brain for health across the entire lifespan. Neuroscience has taught us about the power of “neuroplasticity” and how particular environmental input is critical to the health of the brain. Dr. Nussbaum will educate you on his proactive Brain Health Lifestyle® that includes physical activity, mental stimulation, spirituality, nutrition, and socialization.

Following Dr. Nussbaum’s presentation, three 30-minute break-out sessions will be offered on yoga, meditation and healthy nutrition, which all work together for a holistic approach to promote brain health. The yoga can be done at chair level if desired. Comfortable clothing is recommended. Please RSVP to reserve a seat for the morning or evening session at 412-635-8080.

Speaker: Dr. Paul Nussbaum, President and Founder, Brian Health Center, Inc., Clinical Neuropsychologist, Adjunct Professor of Neurological Surgery, University Pittsburgh School of Medicine and Brain Health Center’s supportive staff
