Experts to Present Shoestring Marketing Techniques
Small businesses from Western Pennsylvania have a unique opportunity to learn how to market their organizations on a limited budget during the "Shoestring Marketing - Creating Customers" seminar on Tuesday, March 24th at the Cranberry Highlands Golf Course in Cranberry Township, Pa. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is hosted by the Pittsburgh & Its Countryside Tourism Marketing Group. Participating destination marketing organizations from Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence and Mercer Counties are sponsoring and underwriting the event.
Topics and presenters include "Developing an Effective Marketing Strategy" by Kimberly Loszewski of The Savvy Group, "Finding Contacts and Building a Media List" by Holly Muchnok of East Wing Events, and "Tie Into Your Resources" by David Kahley of the Progress Fund and Peggy Mazyck of Mercer County Tourism.
The highlight of the event will be a panel discussion including small business owners from the participating counties. Representing Butler County will be Gary Quigley, owner of Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Kozy Rest. Gary has been a major part of the transformation of a run down park with very little business, to a nationally-awarded campground.
"The other panelists will be representing an array of businesses, making it easy for attendees to relate to and learn from the speakers," said Jack Cohen, president of Butler County Tourism & Convention Bureau. "We held a similar event in November 2013 and it was a huge success. We're all looking forward to what the speakers and panelists have to say."Visit Event Website for More Info
