COMPUTER CENTER CLASSES
Northland Library offers these classes free of charge. Class size is limited and pre-registration is required. You may register in person at the Computer Center on the upper level, or by calling (412) 366-8100 extension 131. Please notify the Computer Center if you are registered for a class and are unable to attend.
MICROSOFT WORD 2010 BASICS
Thursday, March 5, from 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. or 12:30 p.m. - 2 p.m.
Wednesday, March 18, from 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.
For students with no previous Word experience. Prerequisite: Must have mouse skills.

LEARNING TO USE THE INTERNET
Monday, March 9 from 12:30 p.m. - 2 p.m.
Monday, March 23 from 12:30 p.m. – 2 p.m.
In this combination of lecture and hands-on experience, participants will learn the basic layout of the Internet Explorer web browser, how to use tabs and conduct searches. Must have basic mouse and typing skills.

INTRODUCTION TO TABLETS
Thursday, March 19 from 2- 3 p.m.
Are you new to tablet computers and interested in learning a little bit about them?, participants will learn: what a tablet is; some common uses for a tablet; as well as an overview of basic tablet features. Even though the class format is lecture-based, participants will get hands-on practice with tablets during the session. tablets will be provided.

INTRODUCTION TO CLOUD STORAGE: SAVING DOCUMENTS, PHOTOS, AND FILES ONLINE
Thursday, March 26 from 2 -3 p.m.
Participants will learn what cloud storage is and how it works. Participants will examine three popular cloud storage tools: Apple iCloud, Microsoft OneDrive and Google Drive during the class.
