CHILDREN’S/YOUNG ADULT & FAMILY SPECIAL PROGRAMS
Registration is required for the following children’s programs except where noted. Residents of Bradford Woods, Franklin Park, Marshall, and Ross (supporting municipalities) may register two weeks before program start. Open registration begins one week before start. You may register in person at the children’s/young adult reference desk or you may call 412-366-8100 extension 123. Children age 3 and up are required to have their own library card to attend programs. DOLL TEA Saturday, March 7 from 2-3 p.m. Children in kindergarten through second grade are invited to bring their dolls for a festive tea party with stories, games and crafts. There is a $1 materials fee per child. PBS SUNDAY – PEG + CAT MATHAPALOOZA Sunday, March 22 from 2-3 p.m. This program is for children in kindergarten through second grade. Watch an episode of Peg + Cat then participate in math games and activities. It all adds up to a good time! TODDLER AND PRESCHOOL FITNESS March 4, 11, 18, 25 (Wednesdays) at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Burn off some energy during these cold winter days with your toddler/preschooler between the ages of two and five at the library! Join us for a four week series of fitness! EVENING TODDLER TIME March 4, 11, 18, & 25 (Wednesday Evenings) at 6:30 p.m. Babies and toddlers (six months through 35 months) and their grownups (parents, grandparents or other caregiver) are invited to enjoy four weeks of songs, nursery rhymes, tickles and bounces designed to nurture pre-reading skills. FAIRYTALE SCIENCE March 13, 27, April 10, 24 (Fridays) from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. Children in kindergarten through second grade can explore four fairytales using science to answer some pesky questions about villains and heroes in the tales. TODDLER TIME April 1, 8, 15, & 22 (Wednesdays) at 9:30 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. Babies and toddlers (six months through 35 months) and their grownups (parents, grandparents or other caregiver) are invited to enjoy four weeks of songs, nursery rhymes, tickles and bounces designed to nurture pre-reading skills. PAJAMA STORYTIME April 1, 8, 15, & 22 (Wednesday Evenings) 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Stories, songs, action rhymes and an “art start” before bedtime for families with children three through five years of age. Pajama wearers welcome!
