Empty Bowls Throw Down

Description:

A bowl-making party to support Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank’s and Just Harvest's 20th Annual Empty Bowls Dinner. Community members of all skill levels and experience are welcome to come out and throw, hand build, or decorate a bowl for a great cause! Attendees will make bowls on Sunday, February 1st from 1 pm to 4 pm, and then will glaze those bowls the following Sunday, February 8th. You can come to one or both sessions.

Clay, pottery wheels, and plenty of work space will be available and some Union Project ceramics co-op members will be on hand to help out. All the bowls created during Throw Down will be fired and finished at Union Project and then donated to Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank and Just Harvest for the Empty Bowls fundraiser on March 29, 2015.
