La Roche College will host Meet Design, an all-day event for high school juniors and seniors to explore creative careers in the fields of graphic and interior design.
The event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at La Roche’s main campus in the North Hills. Students who attend Meet Design at La Roche will test their own creative skills by participating in a hands-on design project.
Lisa Kamphaus, chair of the La Roche Design Division, said, “Participants will collaborate with like-minded high school and college students to flex their creative muscles in an immersive design thinking project.”
After completing their projects, students will hear first-hand accounts about the challenges and opportunities in the field from current design students, faculty and professionals. The event will feature a tour of the La Roche campus and design studios, as well as a free continental breakfast and lunch in the Cantellops Dining Hall.
Meet Design at La Roche will offer an alternative schedule for parents to learn more about the College’s admissions process, financial aid, tutoring, and academic support and career services.
Register online at http://intranet.laroche.edu/DesignDay. Limited space is available and one parent or guardian per registered student is welcome to attend.
