Description:

Verland is hosting their annual Adopt-a-Horse-Donkey FUN-raiser to help take care o f their therapeutic horses and miniature donkeys. Individuals or groups, such as Boy/Girl Scouts, Rotaries, Churches or Chambers will be able to come to the stables & have their picture taken with their new adopted friend. Donations from $10 to $1,000 will be accepted (est. monthly cost $150 for each animal).

A certificate of adoption will be given out to all participants at the end of the program.

All proceeds will help Verland maintain their wonderful four-legged family; such as feed, supplements, farrier services, vet care, re-seeding the turnout fields and other associated costs. Donations in the past have helped fund a new ramp and lift system for our Therapeutic Riding Program.

Why stop at just one month of care? Verland’s animals need year round attention & your adoption can make it easier to do that. The Equestrian Therapy Program depends on donations and fundraising events to help offset the cost. Verland has been offering the chance for individuals with disabilities to strengthen physically, mentally and emotionally through equine assisted activities since 1982.

Help Bubba, Jada, Oden, Pedro & Thorn stay warm & well cared for, so they can help others!
