Fall Play FREE Dress Rehersal for Senior Citizens
Fox Chapel Area School District senior citizens are invited to attend the high school fall play dress rehearsal of “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee. The play, set during the Great Depression, focuses on the author and her observations of her
family and neighbors, as well as observations of an event that occurred in 1936, when the author was 10-years-old. The themes of the play are racial injustice and tolerance and it addresses the issues of class, courage, compassion, and gender roles in
the American South.
Fox Chapel Area High School students will be performing the fall play for the school district's senior citizens Tuesday, November 11, 2014, in the O'Hara Elementary School auditorium at 5 p.m. Refreshments will be served prior to the performance at 4:30 p.m. in the O'Hara Elementary School commons area. The fall play is being held at O'Hara Elementary School this year due to construction at the high school.
The special senior citizens' performance/dress rehearsal of the fall play is free for all Fox Chapel Area School District senior citizens age 60 and older.
