Dave Racicot, chef & visionary at notion in East Liberty, deepens the restaurant’s educational programming to cover food’s favorite match: wine. In addition to hosting bi-monthly cooking classes, notion will now offer interactive wine education from the restaurant’s General Manager/Sommelier, Jennifer Jin. Twice a month, Jennifer will lead guests through the “World of Wine” with a six-course dinner and pairings focused on varietals and styles of a specific wine region. As each selection is poured, she’ll highlight the grape’s growing conditions, production, wine characteristics and affinity for certain foods.

Whether learning firsthand how dishes evolve from simple ingredients to intricate plates alongside a four-course meal or studying wine beside six courses of Dave’s artistic fare, guests will have the opportunity to ask questions and develop a greater understanding of fine food and wine at notion.
