Inspired Stratgies and Creative Approaches
Keynote speaker is George Braddock, President of Creative Housing Solutions LLC. Braddock pioneered the implementation of person-centered planning principles to homes for people with disabilities. Also at the event, Carolyn Hare will be discussing the transition years for young adults affected by Autism. She is a special education teacher, certified ADI-R Trainer and the Clinical Manager for the Autism Tissue Program, and the founder of the Arts for Autism Foundation of Pittsburgh (which operates Pittsburgh's Joey Travolta Summer Film Camp). Breakout presentations are: "Teaching Social Communication and Relationship Development Skills", "Safe Sensory Spaces Utilizing Animals, Plants, and the Outdoors", "Autism Beyond High School: The Transition Years", and "S.E.L.F.ing Our Emotional Responses to Guide Us in Achieving More Positive Outcomes." Seating is limited to 100 guests. General admission, group rate, continuing education, and vendor tickets are available for purchase. Special assistance pricing is also on hand to individuals who qualify upon request. This one day event is scheduled from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, with breakfast and lunch included in all tickets.
