YARN BOMBING 2019 BACK AT THE LIBRARY!

Northland Library will again be transformed with a riot of color during this long, gray winter with the 3rd Annual Yarn Bombing. Yarn bombing is a fun, bright type of art installation which employs colorful displays of knitted or crocheted items and fiber art to celebrate public spaces. One of the best local examples of this was the Knit the Bridge project in downtown Pittsburgh in the summer of 2013. The display will encompass both floors of the library and will again feature a scavenger hunt for kids. Past favorites have included large dream catchers, a clock flower, and flowers and animals of all kinds. The public can view the art installation beginning March 2 and continuing through March 30.
