COMBATING HUMAN TRAFFICKING AND CHILD EXPLOITATION
FOX CHAPEL AREA AFFILIATE OF THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF UNIVERSITY WOMEN (AAUW) PRESENTS:
For 44 years, the Women’s Law Project has devoted its efforts to protecting and advancing the rights of women and girls in Pennsylvania. Based in Philadelphia, the organization also maintains an office in Pittsburgh.
Attorneys at the Women’s Law Project lobby and advocate on issues impacting women, and, when necessary, litigate cases on their behalf. Considerable resources are dedicated to improving institutional response to sexual assault and domestic violence. They also challenge gender discrimination and workplace inequality. As their commitment to women is firmly grounded in the belief that equality can’t be achieved without reproductive freedom, they work diligently to protect and advance women’s reproductive rights.
Sue Frietsche holds degrees from Bryn Mawr College and Temple University Law School and has been on the staff of the Women’s Law Project for 26 years. She is also an adjunct professor at the University of Pittsburgh, where she teaches Reproductive Law and Policy. Ms. Frietsche’s presentation will focus on sexual harassment and assault in schools.
