RADical Days: Free Admission to Two Shows at The Tull Family Theater
The award-winning family film Akeelah and the Bee (PG) will be this year’s free RADical Days feature at The Tull Family Theater as an organization supported by the Allegheny Regional Asset District
The two free screenings will be offered on Columbus Day, Monday, Oct. 8, at 1:30 and 3 p.m.
These showings are part of RADical Days, which recognizes taxpayer support for cultural assets through the Allegheny Regional Asset District (RAD), and mark the Sewickley theater’s second year of participation.
“The Tull Family Theater was established to strengthen access to cultural activities northwest of Pittsburgh and this RADical Days event with free admission is one way to demonstrate this commitment,” says Carolina Pais-Barreto Thor, executive director of the theater. “We are grateful for RAD support for our organization, and expect that our two RADical Days shows will attract groups of children who are off school for the holiday, as well as families spending together.” Tickets will be available at the door only, on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors will open 30 minutes before the screenings; seating is limited.
More information about the film, starring Keke Palmer, Laurence Fishburne and Angela Basset, is available on the theater’s website, www.thetullfamilytheater.org, under Advance Sales.
RADical Days 2018, which features free admissions and other events at many of the organizations that RAD supports, will be celebrated Sept. 21 through Oct. 14. More information about RAD and the full list of RADical Days activities is available online at www.radworkshere.org.
