The Western Pennsylvania Mushroom Club announces the following mushroom walks, monthly meeting, and annual Foray for September 2018:

MUSHROOM WALK: Saturday, September 8, 3:00 p.m. Riverview Park, North Side. Meet WPMC Mycologist Jim Tunney at the Riverview Park Activities Building for an afternoon mushroom walk as part of the first RP Day. WPMC will also host a mushroom display table. MUSHROOM WALK: Friday, September 14, 9:00 a.m. Cook Forest, Clarion County. Meet WPMC Mycologist Garrett Taylor and Dale Luthringer, Environmental Education Specialist with the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, at Shelter #1 for a pre-Foray mushroom walk. Free.

18th ANNUAL GARY LINCOFF FORAY: Saturday, September 15, 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Rose Barn, North Park. Includes guided mushroom walks, presentations by author Walt Sturgeon, mushroom photographer Taylor Lockwood, and WPMC Mycologist John Plischke III, auction, book signing, merchandise sales, and mushroom feast. Cost is $35 for members, $55 for nonmembers (includes a 2018-19 club membership), and $15 for students and children 11-18. Children 10 and under are free.

MONTHLY MEETING: Tuesday, September 18, 7:00 p.m. Beechwood Farms Nature Reserve, 614 Dorseyville Road. Topic: Foraging for Photos. Speaker: WPMC Identifier Josh Doty. The meeting is free and includes a mushroom display table staffed by expert identifiers.

MUSHROOM WALK: Saturday, September 22, 10:00 a.m. Sewickley Heights Borough Park. Meet WPMC Identifier Fluff Berger in the parking lot of Sewickley Heights Borough Park. Free.
