JOURNEY TO PUERTO RICO Thursday, June 14 at 7 p.m. Surrounded by the calm, turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea, Puerto Rico is unlike any other U.S. destination. It features a mix of urban, beach and outdoor experiences that make it a great vacation destination if you’re looking to divide your time between culture and nature. Everyone in the audience will have access to two free Spanish language lessons with T&L Global, a premier language center located in Pittsburgh, PA. Registration is required.

TECH TALK Monday, June 18 from 1- 2 p.m. Want to learn about trending or useful technology and digital resources? Join our panel of librarians as they talk about the tech they think you should know! Listen to their suggestions or tips or come with questions of your own. 

MOVING INTO RETIREMENT: REAL ADVICE FROM REAL ESTATE AGENTS Friday, June 22 from 12:30-2 p.m. Are you looking to transition to a retirement community or location? Join local real estate agents Judy B. McGinnis and Karen Minnitte as they offer an educational session on easing the moving process for adults 55 and older. They will talk about the best options for finding a new home or community and walk you through listing your current home for sale. A light lunch will be provided. 

AYURVEDA COOKING WITH ANN Monday, June 25 at 7 p.m. Ayurveda cooking focuses on balancing what we eat to create a healthier you. Join our favorite Indian cook, Ann Manchella, as she talks about the ideas behind Ayurveda cooking and demonstrates the preparation of a tasty vegetarian dish from South India. This month, she will make Gobi Matar, a simple and quick dish of cauliflower cooked with peas. Watch her preparation and taste a generous sample. Copies of the recipe will be available for you to take home and try for yourself. 

MEDICARE: PUTTING THE PIECES TOGETHER Thursday, June 28 at 7 p.m. Are you approaching your 65th birthday or over 65 and thinking about retiring? If so, it's time to think about Medicare, get the facts, and make some decisions. In this educational presentation, you will learn about Medicare “Parts,” how much Medicare costs, what choices you have with Medicare, as well as when you should enroll.
