Story of Anne Frank Step-Sister
Told in One-Woman Show at Kean Theatre
J.E.Ballantyne, Jr. has written numerous plays about the Holocaust but his current one about Eva Schloss, Holocaust survivor and Anne Frank step-sister, is one of his most powerful dealing with this subject.
Ballantyne states that this will be a two performance stop, with school shows in the morning and a public performance at 7:30 pm. that evening. He said that Schloss, who is still very much alive at 88 years old and on a world-wide speaking tour, has always felt very strongly about educating both school students and adults about the Holocaust. To that end, a morning performance has been set to accommodate any and all of the 15 schools in the area as well as the general public in the evening so they can learn about this remarkable Holocaust survivor. The entire company, comprised of one actress and three technicians, is a totally professional tour utilizing the talents of people who have been in the theater business for countless years.
