Vincentian Academy Musical Theatre Program presents this beautiful adaptation of the story by Joseph Stein, set in 1905 Imperial Russia. Fiddler on the Roof centers onTevye, the father of five daughters, as he struggles to maintain the Jewish religious and cultural traditions he cherishes, which are now upset by outside influences. Throughout this, he must cope with the strong-willed actions of his three older daughters who wish to marry for love and seem to be moving farther away from the customs of his strong faith. Musical Director: Lauren Sarazen. Characters: Tevye – Matthew Soller, Golde – Adelle Pociask, Tzeitel –Gracie Walters, Motel – Wray Jones, Hodel – Chloe Ditka, Perchik – Jake Lowry, Chava – Jamie Muth Fiddler on the Roof, presented by Vincentian Academy, is primarily funded by Vincentian Academy Theatre Boosters and represents a culmination of efforts from more than 25% of the school’s student body enhancing the beauty of the final production as a remarkable achievement by these young men and women. In addition, this year’s production includes several kindergarten through seventh grade students from nearby Catholic grade schools to round out the cast.
