Health Science Department to Host “Get Healthy at La Roche: Educational Series”
From February to April, La Roche College will offer three educational workshops to address major health concerns in the UPMC Passavant service area.
“Due to statistical data portraying the community needs for prevention and initiatives focusing on the risk factors for heart disease and stroke, La Roche’s objective is to provide the community with prevention, treatment and resources in a comfortable environment,” Lauren Lanzino, DC, chair of the Health Science Department at La Roche, said.
All three workshops, led by professionals in the field, will be held in the Ryan Room of the Zappala College Center at 5:30 p.m. and will last an hour each. Participation is limited to Passavant Hospital employees and patients, La Roche students and staff members, and residents of the Northern Allegheny County and Southern Butler community.
Get Healthy at La Roche is sponsored by the Passavant Hospital Foundation. Healthy snacks, refreshments and one promotional item will be offered at each educational workshop. Participants will have the opportunity to ask any personal questions they may have after each presentation.
