COOKBOOK CLUB INTEREST MEETING Saturday, December 2 at 10 a.m. Love cooking or baking and want to share your recipes with others? We are looking for men, women and teenagers to join us on December 2 as we meet to talk about starting our very own Northland Cookbook Club. Led by Michelle Kuhn, we'll talk about how the club will be structured and what to expect from this exciting possible new addition to our book discussion groups. Coffee and tea will be provided. Come ready to discuss ideas and meet other cookbook enthusiasts. Registration is required. RINGING IN THE SEASON: HANDBELL SELECTIONS BY RING PITTSBURGH Sunday, December 3 at 3 p.m. Come enjoy a series of beloved holiday melodies performed by Ring Pittsburgh. The group will play a selection of popular and traditional holiday music using a wide variety of handbell and chime techniques. Stick around after the concert for a short reception. Ring Pittsburgh. Your Community Handbell Choir. Directed by Jim Rossetti, this auditioned group of handbell musicians inspires, educates, and entertains their audiences through the art of handbell ringing. Registration is required. SANTA’S WINE PICKS FOR THE HOLIDAYS Thursday, December 7 at 7 p.m. Join us for an evening of wine tasting and education with John Eld, professional wine educator and former chairman of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Wine Society. Whether you're entertaining for the holidays or looking for gift ideas, Santa will be stopping by to give us his recommendations for the holidays. Tasty finger foods will accompany each of the wines John will present. You will need to register in person at the upper level reference desk. Seating is limited, and the fee for the event is $30.00 per person. Please bring your payment with you when you register. AFTER HOURS BOARD GAMING Friday, December 8 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Grab your favorite gaming buddies and join us in the adult non-fiction area of the Library for an after-hours gaming night at Northland! We will have a selection of board games you can try out or bring along your favorite to share with others. Coffee, tea, and light refreshments will be provided. Registration is required.
