The Butler County Family YMCA is hosting a weekend of fundraising events to support its Strong Kids Campaign. There will be four different events held on the weekend of October 13 – 15.

“Each of our events scheduled for the weekend has a unique focus,” says Sandra Ihlenfeld, Vice President, Organizational Advancement. “It’s an opportunity for more people to learn more about our Strong Kids Campaign and how it helps our community through a series of fun events.”

Events include:

• Friday, October 13 – Casino Royale - Twelve Oaks Mansion, 160 Scharberry Lane, Mars, 6-10 pm. This cocktail party atmosphere will feature casino themed entertainment, raffles, live music and a magician. $75/person or $100/couple.

• Friday, October 13 & Saturday, October 14 – Haunted Trail – Camp YMCA/ARMCO Park 341 Centerville Pike, Slippery Rock, 7:30 – Midnight. This outdoor walk through the woods features a host of ghouls, demons, and monsters. $5/person.

• Sunday, October 15 –Dual Branch Cyclethon – Butler (339 North Washington Street) and Rose E. Schneider (2001 Ehrman Road) Family YMCAs will each hold a cyclethon. Different themes will be held each hour. Riders can sign up for one hour or all four. Riders are also invited to collect pledges for the time that they ride.

The Rose E. Schneider Family YMCA cyclethon will be held from 8 am – Noon

The Butler YMCA cyclethon will be held from 11:30 am – 3:30 pm

Cyclists can pre-register for $10 an hour.

In 2016, the Butler County Family YMCA provided nearly $300,000 in financial assistance to 1,986 members and program participants through our Strong Kids Campaign which funds the Y’s financial assistance program. It makes the Y and its programs available to individuals, children and families in our community who do not have the resources to pay.
