La Roche College to Present Design Dialogue Presentation
The La Roche College Interior Design Advisory Board will host its annual Design Dialogue Presentation at the Pittsburgh Opera House on Oct. 24. Janine James, an internationally recognized speaker and thought leader in brand strategy, sustainability and social equity, will take the stage to lead a design discussion furthering the College’ mission of co-creating a world of compassion, justice and peace. Ms. James is renowned for her leadership in business, her creative genius and passion for the advancement of human consciousness. She is a visionary on the knowledge economy, multidisciplinary dynamics and cultural branding. Ms. James has brought success to some of the world’s most influential brands including American Express, Aveda, BASF, Knoll Textiles and Shaw Industries. She believes in the power of love, compassion, integration and balance of power to support and have compassion for others, and to appreciate the interconnectedness of all humanity. The event will begin with a reception at 5:30 p.m., followed by the presentation at 7 p.m. General admission tickets cost $40, $25 for La Roche alumni and $10 for non-La Roche students. La Roche students receive free admission. Tickets are available online. The Design Dialogue Speakers Series is an annual event sponsored by the La Roche College Interior Design Advisory Board. The series brings an internationally known designer to Pittsburgh to speak to the professional design community and students. Featured designers also visit the La Roche campus for an informal discussion with interior design and graphic design students.
