Wings & Wildlife Art Show & Marketplace
The Wings & Wildlife Art Show returns to the National Aviary this November, bringing a jury-selected array of beautifully crafted, nature-inspired art for Aviary visitors to enjoy, along with the opportunity to meet the artists and purchase unique hand-made items.
The show will kick off with an Opening Soiree and Benefit Auction on November 3, followed by a two-day public show and marketplace November 4 and 5, showcasing the work of 39 locally and nationally known artists working in paint, photography, textiles, jewelry, metal, ceramics, paper, wood and more.
Maria DeSimone Prascak has been named this year’s featured artist. Known for her bold, colorful murals and custom paintings, Ms. Prascak creates works that capture the personality, beauty, and movement of wildlife on canvas.
The Wings & Wildlife Art Show is open to the public November 4-5, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and is included in general admission of $15 adults; $14 seniors; $14 children ages 2-12. The Opening Soiree and Benefit Auction for guests 21+ will be held Friday, November 3, providing guests the opportunity to mingle with the artists and get an exclusive preview of their work. Throughout the evening, unique Aviary experiences, works of art, and other one-of-a-kind items will be up for bidding during silent and live auctions. All proceeds from sponsorships, auctions, and ticket sales benefit the National Aviary’s avian medicine, education, and conservation programs locally and internationally.
