WALK: Saturday, June 3, 10:00 a.m. McConnells Mill State Park, Lawrence County. Meet WPMC Identifier Jack Baker in the main parking lot. Free.

WALK: Saturday, June 10, 10:00 a.m. Moraine State Park, Butler County. Meet WPMC Mycologist La Monte Yarroll at Shelter 2 on the South Shore for an introductory mushroom talk and walk with Stonefruit Community Herbalists. Free.

WALK: Sunday, June 11, 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Join WPMC Officers for morning and afternoon mushroom walks during the BioBlitz at Phipps Conservatory. Free.

MUSHROOM CLASSES: Saturday, June 17 (all day). Cooper-Siegel Library, Fox Chapel. Morning classes, suitable for beginners, will focus on local mushrooms, including edible and medicinal species. The afternoon will include intermediate-level classes, aimed at learning how to identify some of these mushrooms. Each session is $10; the full day is $20. A free mushroom walk at nearby Salamander Park will follow. To register:

MEETING: Tuesday, June 20, 7:00 p.m. Beechwood Farms Nature Reserve, 614 Dorseyville Road. Guest Speaker will be gardening expert Doug Oster. The meeting is free and includes a Mushroom Display Table, staffed by expert identifiers.

WALK: Saturday, June 24, 10:00 a.m. Linbrook Woodlands, Sewickley. Meet WPMC Identifier Fluff Berger and the Allegheny Land Trust. Registration is required. Free for WPMC members; $5 for non-members.
