DONATE, DINE AND SHOP AT THE SAINT SEBASTIAN FLEA MARKET
The Saint Sebastian Parish Mega Flea Market, one of the best and most well-attended in the diocese, will be held Thursday, June 22 – Pre-sale: $5 admission - 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday, June 23: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, June 24: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, June 25: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Saint Sebastian School Gym and Cafeteria at 311 Siebert Road in Ross Township.
New this year, there’ll be great food on hand for those who work up a serious appetite power shopping all the great flea market treasures! All four days, there’ll be ribs, chicken, pulled pork and more from Perrytowne Drafthouse and Jim’s Smokin’ Que barbeque food truck - serving breakfast, lunch and dinner!
Building on a new tradition, the flea market will be held separately from the 27th Annual St. Sebastian Parish Festival, scheduled for July 10 to 15 on the parish grounds. Both events support the many ministries offered by the church to the North Hills community, and Saint Sebastian School, which has some 400 students.
According to Saint Sebastian festival co-chair, Dan Kerr, holding the flea market separately from the festival provides an opportunity to put even more emphasis on the event and allocate more manpower to it. It also allows the event to spread out into a larger space, thereby making it more comfortable for patrons to shop, which was well received last year.
“We’ve researched flea markets at other parishes, and the feedback on this approach has been very positive. The separate dates and the new format make for a better shopping experience,” said Kerr. “All of our items will be in two large rooms rather than spread across multiple classrooms and floors, making browsing easier for customers. Plus we’ll have dedicated entrances and exits so it should make for faster entry and check-out for shoppers, as well.”Visit Event Website for More Info
