Who’s cooking in Cranberry? Kids!

Kids in Cranberry are about to cook up something special for Mother’s Day. Baker’s Dozen Academy, a North Hills after-school baking program for kids run by culinary artists Debbie Dee and Teri Koms, will be holding a special two-hour class for kids ages 5 through 12 on Saturday morning, May 6 – to prepare decadent truffles as Mother’s Day gifts. The 9:30 session will be held in the Municipal Center. Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 14. Separately, the Academy will be offering four different early evening classes – two in June and two in July – for kids ages 5 and up. Each class will have two successive two-hour sessions, on Mondays and Tuesdays, beginning at 6:00 PM. Emoji cookies and Mint lasagna will be featured June 19 and 20. Troll cookies and chocolate pies will be the project on June 26 and 27. Pate a choux and Dreamsicle pies will be constructed July 10 and 11. Caramel cream trifles and troll cookies will be the project on July 24 and 25.
