Little kids’ soccer comes to Cranberry

There are lots of reasons soccer is the most widely played sport in the world. One is that instruction in the sport for very young children is widely available and sanctioned by the same international organization that governs every level of soccer play.

N Zone Sports, whose franchisees operate youth leagues, camps, and programs in a variety of sports for children through age 14, will be offering soccer courses for very young players in Cranberry starting March 18. Its seven-week sessions, held in the Township’s Municipal Center, are built around the idea that the more a child enjoys learning a sport, the more likely they will continue playing it.

Seven half-hour sessions for toddlers age 2 and 3, and seven others for those age 4 and 5, are held on Mondays and Saturdays. Start times for the younger children are 10:00 AM and 5:30 PM. Start times are 45 minutes later for the older group.

Registration for N Zone Sports youth soccer is available in person at the Cranberry Township Municipal Center Parks & Recreation Information Desk, online at the Township Web site,, or by phone at 724-779-4FUN (4386). A program fee of $100 for residents, $105 for non-residents, is payable at the time of registration.
