TAX PREPARATION ASSISTANCE CONTINUES
The Library is once again partnering with the AARP to offer tax prep for senior citizens and low-income residents. The Library will host the AARP on Tuesdays and Thursdays through April 13 from 9 a.m. – noon. IRS-trained volunteers will help in preparing both federal and state forms. This service is offered on a first-come, first-served basis and we cannot guarantee that everyone needing help will be accommodated on any given day. Please remember to bring all necessary paperwork to complete the forms. A sign-up sheet will be located outside the lower lobby entrance beginning at 7:30 a.m., so early arrivals can register and then either wait in their car or return when the library opens.
TERRARIUM DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION
Join the Allegheny County Park Rangers at the Northland Public Library on Thursday, March 2 from 7-8:30 p.m. and learn different methods of Terrarium Design and Construction. From simple decorative terrariums to lush vivarium filled with plants and animals, we will discuss the different styles and methods used for construction and care. Each participant will be provided with all of the supplies needed to build their own mini-terrarium that they can take home with them. The session will consist of a power point presentation, Q&A time, and build time with instruction.
Limited space available (20 participants). Cost is $7 Per Person for supplies and pre-registration is required. Please register for this program at the Allegheny County Parks Page located at: https://apm.activecommunities.com/alleghenyparks/Activity_Search/1004Visit Event Website for More Info
