Spanish is the fastest-growing foreign language in the United States. Learning to understand and speak it is a valuable skill. Starting January 31, Cranberry Township will be offering classes in Spanish for English-speaking children ages 3 to 7.
In six weekly one-hour sessions, beginning at 5:30 PM, kids will be exposed to Spanish through stories and interactive games. A follow-up class, Spanish at the Beach for children 3 through 6, will start April 11; a companion Spanish at the Beach class for those 7 through 12 will take place the same day starting at 6:45. Both classes have six weekly sessions. A six-week class in French for 7 through 12 year olds will begin April 12.
Highly qualified instructors from Lingua Stars of Ellwood City will lead the classes.
The program fee for each six-week session is $80 for non-residents, $75 for Cranberry residents. Registration is available in person at the Information Desk of the Parks & Recreation department, by phone at 724-779-4FUN (4386), or online at www.cranberry4fun.com/register .Visit Event Website for More Info
