THE CABIN FEVER ADULT READING CLUB BEGINS

From Monday, January 2, 2017 through February 28, you can beat the winter blues by curling up with a few good books and gaining an opportunity to win a prize for your efforts. Stop at the adult reference desk to pick up your Cabin Fever reading club booklet , take away some booklists to help point you in the right direction for great books and check out the prize possibilities!

OH THE PASTA-BILITIES: PASTA MAKING 101

Join us on Thursday, January 12 from 7-8:30 p.m. to learn the joy of homemade pasta! Yvonne Hennigan of Handmade Pasta by Yvonne will show us the basics including kneading the dough, making pasta by hand, and by using a machine. Registration is required.

STRENGTH, CONDITIONING, AND LIFESTYLE CHANGE

Even if it's not your New Year's Resolution, everyone wants to live a healthier lifestyle. Please join us on Monday, January 16 at 7 p.m. for a seminar that will explain the basics of strength, conditioning, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications that will set you on the right path for a better you!

About the presenter: Christin Donofrio is a Doctor of Physical Therapy as well as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Registration is required.

DIGITAL BOOT CAMP FOR PARENTS: DIGITAL IDENTITY

Join us on Saturday, January 21 from 8:30 – 10 a.m., as we discuss online applications for athletics, college admissions, and financial aid, contain highly sensitive information. Part of our Digital Boot Camp for Parents series, this session will cover the nuts and bolts of keeping your student’s future safe. It will be held on the CCAC North campus; Room 3002. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. with the presentation starting promptly at 9 a.m. Registration is required and space is limited.

INDIAN COOKING CLASS: TOMATO RICE

On Monday, January 23 at 7 p.m., our favorite Indian cook, Ann Manchella, will demonstrate the preparation of another tasty vegetarian food from India: Tomato Rice. Tomato Rice is prepared using steamed rice cooked with a tangy-spicy mixture of sautéed tomato and Indian spices.
