UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital wrapped up a pandemic-filled year by celebrating 2020’s most precious gifts: newborns. In keeping with tradition, UPMC Magee nurse Caitlin Pechin crocheted swaddles with oversized bows and handmade matching caps to wrap the babies as presents.

“UPMC Magee’s tradition of dressing newborns in festive outfits brings some much-needed smiles this holiday season,” explained Heather Ambrose, director of nursing at UPMC Magee. “While so many aspects of life have changed this year, one that remains constant is the excitement of bringing a baby into the world. We are thrilled to celebrate our UPMC Magee babies, who bring so much joy and happiness, during a trying year.”
