On Friday, May 25, families, kids, teens, Scouts and community groups celebrated Remake Learning Days at Animal Friends by making gifts for homeless pets. The Remake Learning Network creates future-ready, hands-on, relevant and engaging educational experiences for kids and their families, caregivers and educators in greater Pittsburgh and West Virginia.

Activities at Animal Friends included making toys for kittens, treat dispensers for dogs and rabbit-friendly items for bunnies to chomp and toss. Participants also made cat enrichment centers to be enjoyed by Animal Friends' feline residents.

A therapy dog was on-hand for guests to meet and pet, and each participating group also received a tour of the adoptable animals in the shelter.
