Beer and Art to Benefit PAART

May 01, 2018 08:22AM ● By North Hills Monthly magazine
In May, the Pittsburgh Aviation Animal Rescue Team (PAART) will be holding two fundraisers to help raise money for more lifesaving missions.

On Thursday, May 3, the public is invited to Allegheny City Brewing from 5-9 p.m. to enjoy a 50/50 raffle, doggie swimming pool, raffle baskets and much more. A donation will be made to PAART for each pint sold, and there will also be food on-hand from Gaucho Parrilla Argentina Wood-fired Grill. Allegheny City Brewing is located at 507 Foreland St., Pittsburgh, PA 15212.

If you’d love to have an authentic portrait of your pet—or pets—local watercolorist Jen Gregorius has offered to donate 50 percent of her portrait sales to PAART during the month of May. To see samples of her work, visit or CreatingJenDesigns on Etsy.
The prices for each 9” x 12” watercolor painting are:

1 pet:  $40
2 pets:  $60
3 pets:  $80
4 pets:  $100

To order, email Jen at

PAART’s mission is to give animals in danger of being euthanized by an underfunded shelter, displaced by a natural disaster, or in an abusive situation, a second chance by offering free transport from danger to safety. Trained volunteer pilots and drivers provide a second chance to thousands of animals in need each year and also work to educate the community, specifically youth, on animal welfare and responsible ownership.
