On the morning of Friday, Dec. 29, Animal Friends carried on its tradition of visiting dedicated partner shelters and animal control facilities to bring back homeless dogs, cats and rabbits to give them another chance at happy lives.

When the rescued pets arrived back at Animal Friends, they were vaccinated, bathed, groomed, medically and behaviorally evaluated and scheduled to be spayed/neutered. As in past years, each animal was renamed based on a theme, which this year was “dessert.” Red Velvet, Brownie, Tiramisu, and Macaroon were just some of the recent arrivals.

To learn more about these new shelter residents, visit Animal Friends at 562 Camp Horne Road or visit www.thinkingoutsidethecage.org.
