If you didn’t get a chance to visit Phipps Conservatory to see SUPER. NATURAL., a glass art exhibition featuring the magnificent works of Jason Gamrath, you missed an amazing show. The art transported visitors into an otherworldly garden of massive orchids, Venus fly traps, pitcher plants and other stunning specimens that were remarkably accurate representations of their living counterparts — standing anywhere from six to 14 feet tall. More than 40 major installations, each of which was carefully selected for each room and location, and many of which were custom-made for Phipps, filled the conservatory, creating an Alice-in-Wonderland-feel for those wandering throughout the fantastical rooms. Visitors could also enjoy works by other glass artists, including Dale Chihuly and Hans Godo Fräbel.
