Here at Animal Friends, we know that your pet is truly a member of the family. So there is no doubt that you’re thinking of surprising him or her with a few special holiday gifts! Animal Friends’ on-site retail shop has the basics and hard-to-find items for pets and humans alike. Best of all, purchases benefit our shelter residents!

Here are a few ideas to make your holiday shopping complete:

Has Your Dog Been Naughty or Nice this Year?

Perhaps Fido didn’t quite make Santa’s Nice List this holiday season? Celebrate the holidays right with a guaranteed pup-pleaser: Planet Dog’s Coal Ball! It is durable, bouncy and buoyant, and minty fresh, so stinky dog breath will be a thing of the past. This adorable Lump o’ Coal is rated five out of five on the Chompers Scale , making it durable enough even for the naughtiest of dogs!

If your pooch worked his tail off to make the nice list this year, Animal Friends’ retail store is stocked with more holiday-themed Planet Dog toys. Try out the Coal Ball’s adorable counterpart, the Orbee-Tuff Snowball, which is equally as durable and will provide hours of fun for you and your pet. Throw liberally to work off the festive holiday calories.

Cat Got Your…Poinsettia?

Each year when the holiday season rolls around, you hear people worrying about buying poinsettia plants out of fear for their cat’s safety (which is a legitimate concern–real poinsettias are indeed toxic to pets). However, our holiday cat poinsettia toys are festive and safe for kitty to play with! These catnip-filled crinkle toys will be even more enticing to your feline friends than the real thing!

We also have a large stock of holiday-themed cat bulk toys and mice, wand toy teasers that are sure to be pleasers and other holiday treasures for your cat’s enjoyment and pleasure.

Deck the Halls with Bows of Timothy Hay

For the most festive of folks, merrily decorating the house is the heart and soul of the holiday season. This year, as you string up your lights, don’t neglect to spruce-up your best friend’s home as well!

The Oxbow Timothy Mat and Bungalow are a perfect way to decorate your rabbit’s home this winter. These oversized grass accessories are great for your rabbit to nibble on, relax in, or play with! The edible construction offers your small pet a portion of the high fiber diet he needs and craves. And best of all, you won’t even have to take these decorations down after the New Year–your rabbit will do all the work for you!
