Animal Friends is pleased to offer an alternative adoption option: the Home-to-Home placement program (H2H). The H2H placement program was designed for those individuals and families who, finding it necessary to give up their beloved pets for adoption, want to take a more active role in the adoption process.
Under H2H, owners have the benefit of meeting, screening and making adoption decisions. Potential adopters have the benefit of one-on-one interactions with the current owners in order to obtain firsthand information about the animal’s likes, dislikes and other characteristics. The H2H placement program also allows Animal Friends to help more animals in the community, even when our kennels are full. At its very core, this program helps bring together owners and adopters, on their own terms, in their own communities.
The following animals are living in homes while their owners search for permanent families for these pets. We encourage you to consider these pets while you look for your new companion animal. If any of them seem like a perfect match, please contact the current owners, who are identified with each featured pet. For even more adoptable pets, visit www.ThinkingOutsideTheCage.org/HomeToHome.
Sophie is about 2 years old. She is playful and friendly and knows lots of tricks like sit, stay, shake hands, and lie down. She loves kids and running in the yard playing ball. She could easily be trained to go off-leash because she likes to be with people. She enjoys car rides and playing with other dogs. Sophie deserves a loving home with a family who will love her like we do. If you can help Sophie find a forever home, contact Herman at 412-833-3729 or 412-862-7806.
Bella is a beautiful, 5-year-old, long-haired tabby. She is gentle and affectionate with adults, and enjoys being brushed and combed. She loves to toss her toys into the air, then rest in a sunny window. Bella has one very important request: no other pets or young children, please! In quiet surroundings, with her beauty and sweetness, Bella promises to make her forever home a happy home. If you can help Bella find a forever home, please contact Mary at 412-885-4501 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
