    Each year on Dec. 30, Animal Friends rescues lost pets at other shelters that are slated to be euthanized by year’s end. Each rescued pet is vaccinated, bathed, groomed, given a comprehensive medical and behavioral evaluation, and scheduled for a spay or neuter surgery.
