Winchester Thurston: Nationally Recognized Excellence in Allison Park

For over a century, Winchester Thurston School (WT) has served families who value education as the greatest gift that they can give their children. Since WT opened a Lower School (grades Pre-K through 5) in Allison Park in 1988, North Hills’ families have been able to take advantage of an engaging educational approach that focuses on building intellect and character, right in their own community.

As we head into the fall and winter months, most of us are likely thinking about, and sometimes dreading, the colder weather. Before any more news stories surface about someone found shivering in a home with no heat, or a tragedy caused by a fire from some makeshift attempt to keep warm, or a person actually freezing to death, it would be wise to learn about what low-income heating programs are available to help.
